The first reflective session by SNG on Action Research supporting the integration of taxes and tax functions in Punjab was held at the Finance Department Punjab. Secretary Finance Punjab chaired the session and was attended by heads of Punjab Revenue Authority and ET&NC as well as by representatives from Board of Revenue.
The session explored the existing coordination failures resulting in lower tax collection and higher compliance cost for tax payers.
A joint Action Research Committee has been constituted as a result of the reflective session which will work closely with Mr. Tariq Bajwa ex-Governor State Bank of Pakistan to develop a realistic approach to tax integration.
